Angela
Dental Hygienist
Angela brings a strong educational background and a compassionate approach to patient care to her role as Dental Hygienist at North Lakewood Dental. She earned her Associate of Arts from South Florida State College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from the University of South Florida, and later completed her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene at the State College of Florida. Angela is a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist (CRDH) and holds Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. She also gained experience working as a Dental Assistant prior to becoming a hygienist.
Angela chose dentistry because she wanted to help create positive experiences for patients, especially those who may have had difficult dental visits in the past. She takes pride in providing gentle, thorough cleanings and helping patients feel calm and comfortable during their appointments. One of her favorite parts of the job is when patients who once disliked dental visits tell her it was the best cleaning they’ve ever had.
Originally from Arcadia, Florida, Angela enjoys relaxing, watching TV shows, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends. She lives with family and shares her home with several beloved pets, including dogs Oatie, Mia, Luna, Bear, and Loki, and cats Blue and Bean.
Lauren
Patient Care Coordinator
Lauren began her journey in dentistry in 2020 and has worked in a variety of roles, including Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager, Insurance and Billing Coordinator, and Patient Care Coordinator. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University and also completed an English minor at Kansas State University. Her broad experience and background enables her to communicate effectively with compassion to ensure that every patient’s experience is exceptional from the very first phone call.
Lauren believes that great patient care begins with understanding and communication. Whether she’s answering insurance questions, helping patients understand their treatment plans, or finding a way to schedule someone in pain for same-day care, she is always focused on making the process easier and less stressful. She knows many patients arrive feeling anxious, and she enjoys being part of a team that helps turn that fear into relief and confidence.
Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Lauren moved to Florida in 2025 to be closer to her parents after living in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Lexington, Kentucky. Outside of the office, she enjoys figure skating, reading, spending time at the beach, and watching movies with her 10-year-old black cat, Nomi, who she describes as a “sassy queen.” While growing up in the Midwest, Lauren was a competitive figure skater for nine years.
Zamaani
Dental Assistant
Zamaani began her career in dentistry in 2018 and brings her experience working in several other offices to our team. Zamaani is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, having completed her training through the Academy for Dental Assistants. Her hands-on knowledge and attention to detail help ensure that each procedure runs smoothly and patients receive excellent care.
Zamaani chose dentistry because several members of her family work in the field, inspiring her to follow a similar path. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is seeing the final results after a patient completes weeks or months of treatment. She loves watching patients regain confidence in their smiles and knowing she played a role in that transformation. Zamaani also takes pride in helping maintain a clean, organized environment while making sure every patient feels safe and comfortable during their visit.
Originally from Saint Petersburg, Florida, Zamaani enjoys spending her free time shopping, attending concerts, and being outdoors. Her hobbies include fishing, kayaking, and swimming.
Amie
Dental Assistant
Amie earned her Dental Assistant certification from Manatee Technical College. She is trained and certified in several important areas, including Expanded Functions for Dental Assistants, dental radiography, infection control, radiation health and safety, Nomad operation, and Basic Life Support (BLS). She hopes to continue her education in the future and pursue a career in Dental Hygiene.
Amie chose dentistry because she loves helping patients feel confident about their smiles and comfortable during their dental visits. As a dental assistant, she focuses on making sure each patient feels relaxed, cared for, and supported throughout their appointment. She takes pride in creating a positive experience and helping patients feel reassured that they are in good hands.
A Bradenton, Florida native, Amie enjoys spending her free time at the beach, going to the gym, trying new foods, and listening to music. She also loves spending time with her family and her Maltese dog, Luca, who keeps life fun at home. Amie speaks English and Spanish and enjoys connecting with patients from all backgrounds.
